The ingredients in this vegan Jamaican BBQ sauce recipe are a perfect combination of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors, inspired by the traditional flavors of Jamaica.
The tomato ketchup and molasses create a sweet base for the sauce, while the soy sauce and apple cider vinegar add a nice savory flavor. The coconut sugar or brown sugar provides a touch of sweetness, while the dijon mustard adds a tangy and slightly spicy kick.
The onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, allspice, cinnamon, and nutmeg are the main spices in this recipe, providing an authentic Jamaican flavor profile. Cayenne pepper is optional, but it adds a bit of heat to the sauce if you like it spicy.
This recipe is perfect for those who want to add a touch of Caribbean flavor to their vegan BBQ dishes.
